Sorry, Joy-Anna — Baby Gideon Is the Spitting Image of Dad Austin Forsyth!
When Joy-Anna Duggar, 20, became a mom in February, she was thrilled to welcome baby Gideon in her life. And since then, she and hubby Austin Forsyth, 24, have been giving fans regular updates on how they’re adjusting to parenthood. But that’s not even the best part. The Counting On stars have also given fans a closer peek at their son — and all we’ve been able to focus on since day one is how much he looks like his dad. Watch the video above to see baby Gideon’s adorable face!
It’s clear this father-son duo are going to grow up close. “I think Austin’s really excited to have a baby boy because he’s really wanting to have someone to take to work and to go do a lot of different hobbies. And to just teach him all the skills that Austin knows,” Joy explained. “I’m excited because, I don’t know, it’s just a baby.” Austin added, “He’s our baby.”
Fans have been quick to point out the resemblance between Gideon and Austin. Little Gideon isn’t even a month old and he surprisingly already looks just like his dad. “He looks a lot like your husband in the third picture,” a follower wrote on Instagram. Another added, “Congratulations. So happy for you guys. You and Austin are so cute together. And you make precious cute babies.”
Recently, we got even more confirmation that Gideon and Austin are basically twins. Mom Joy shared a baby picture of her husband on Instagram, and the resemblance is a little uncanny. “Lots of y’all have been asking for baby pics of Austin,” the reality star wrote. “I’d say they look alike!”
The couple confirmed to People that their son arrived on Feb. 23 at 3:39 p.m., measuring 22 inches long, and weighing 10 pounds, 3 ounces. As for the stress of being first-time parents? Joy and Austin are handling it like pros. “It’s amazing, I can’t describe it,” she continued. “The first few days have been really good. Gideon, he likes to eat a lot. He sleeps a lot during the day and is up a lot during the night. So, I’m trying to switch that around but he’s done really good.” We’re just ready to see more of their adorable little boy — pics of Gideon are way too rare.
