They didn’t just give their daughter a sweet name, Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson also gave their daughter a name imbued with meaning. On Friday, November 8, the Counting On couple officially welcomed their first little one after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage during their first pregnancy. After discovering in June they were having a girl, they settled on the loveliest moniker: Bella Milagro.

“After a long and difficult labor, our girl arrived,” Lauren, 20, and Josiah, 23, shared with Us Weekly on Monday, November 11. “When we finally got to see and hold our precious Bella Milagro, all the pain instantly went away. We can’t believe she is ours — she is so perfect! She definitely has lived up to her name, which means ‘beautiful miracle.’ Today, we are basking in God’s goodness!”

Milagro isn’t just the baby’s middle name, though. It’s also Lauren’s, something she opened up about in September while sharing fun facts about herself with fans. It seems she used the post to give fans a subtle hint about what she and her husband had decided to call their daughter. “My middle name (Milagro) is in Spanish. It means ‘miracle,'” she wrote at the time. The young mom is a quarter Hispanic, meaning that Bella is one-eighth Hispanic.

Though they’re busy celebrating their new daughter — and getting used to life as parents to an infant — the couple will always take time to remember the baby they lost. When they announced their second pregnancy in May, the Duggars also took the opportunity to reveal the name they picked out for baby No. 1. “We are so excited to announce that baby No. 2 is on the way!!!! It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift,” they shared at the time. “So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember ([with a] balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good!”

According to The Bump, the name Asa is Hebrew and can be used for a boy or a girl. It means “doctor” or “healer.” It also appeared in the bible as the name of the third king of Judah. The name sounds perfect for their lost little one. This couple clearly has a knack for finding meaningful monikers.
