Jill Duggar Almost Didn’t Get Flowers From Her ‘Best Hubby Ever’ Derick Dillard Thanks to Delivery Difficulties
This could have ended in disaster! Jill Duggar took to Instagram on February 13 to explain why she very nearly didn’t get Valentine’s Day flowers from her “best hubby ever,” Derick Dillard. What a tragedy that would have been for the 19 Kids and Counting alum. (Kidding!) “Love you @derickdillard,” Jill, 27, began an Instagram update the day before Valentine’s Day. “He ordered flowers last week to be sent to our house today with a note that told me to look in the trumpet on the piano … it had a handwritten note rolled up and placed in the end of it that he had placed there this morning! ❤️💕So very thoughtful! Love my hubby!” OK, that’s actually legit kind of nice of the Counting On star’s husband.
But apparently, getting those flowers and that message to Jill was actually quite the hassle for the 29-year-old former reality TV star husband. “Ok, so funny story though,” Jill began to explain in the caption of the same post. “He hoped they would be delivered while he was at school … but when he got home this evening, the UPS truck was just pulling away and some of our neighbor’s packages were on our doorstep (continually getting mixed up!) and when he took them over to her place, my flowers with my name were on her doorstep! 😂” Oops! You’ve got to watch the video above to find out what happened next although, spoiler alert — obviously Jill got them eventually.
Counting On fans in the comments were clearly very moved by Derick’s gesture. “So sweet and romantic!” one person wrote. Another said, “So thoughtful and sweet!! He is definitely a keeper ❤️.” UGH, I guess we can agree. This was a legitimately considerate move on Derick’s part. No word on why the couple celebrated a day early though — maybe they mixed up the occasion with Galentine’s Day?
