Jen Harley Believes Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s PDA Post on Her Birthday Was a ‘Dig at Her’
A coincidence or something more? Jen Harley believes ex Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s PDA post on her birthday was a “dig at her,” a source exclusively tells In Touch.
“Jen is getting a lot of heat for the picture she shared with her new boyfriend [Joe]. A lot of people are saying it’s a dig at Ron, but in fact, she thinks he’s the one who’s been taking a dig at her all along,” an insider says following the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star’s cozy photo with new girlfriend Saffire Matos.
The drama apparently started when the MTV alum, 35, posted a flirty snap with Saffire on Jen’s birthday, which is October 28. “You can’t force happiness, when you know it’s real, you realize it eventually chooses you! #HappinessIsAGift #ThankFul,” Ronnie captioned the pic showing his leading lady straddling him on a boat.
Interestingly, it happened to be the “exact same pose” Jen and Ronnie did when they were still going strong on her birthday back in 2017. At the time, the couple was enjoying a boating trip together and Jen jumped into his arms for the shot.
After calling it quits in 2019, Ronnie and Jen, 33, posted photos of their new relationships on the same day in October 2020. As he uploaded a pic from his “BearCations” with Saffire, the real estate agent took to Instagram with her own post. “Obsessed with you,” she captioned a snap kissing new boyfriend Joe.
Jen was candid about her hot and cold relationship with the father of one in an exclusive interview with In Touch in April. The social media personality admitted she and Ronnie couldn’t seem to break their “toxic cycle” after welcoming their daughter, Ariana Sky, in April 2018.
“Our problem was we knew what was bothering us. Our underlying thing was cheating, but we would never do anything [about it],” she said about their behind-the-scenes issues. “We would just sweep things under the rug but we wouldn’t ever go to therapy or get self-help or do anything like that. So, when we would fight, it would just blow up again and then that was our cycle.”
These days, she is finding happiness with her new flame. Jen showed love to her man after they hiked up a hill together in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Made it to the top, can’t stop, won’t stop! #day3,” the brunette beauty gushed on December 27.
It looks like Jen and Ronnie both found better matches post-breakup!
