They grow up so fast! Jill Duggar shared a photo of her brother, James Duggar, sitting down for a meal with her along with his nephews/Jill’s sons, Israel and Samuel. And people in the comments were pretty shocked at how grown up James is looking these days!

James is the 13th child of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar‘s 19 kids, all of whom were featured on 19 Kids and Counting and several of whom appear on Counting On. Fans might remember him fondly as a little boy running around the Duggar home, but he was born in 2001, so he’s nearly an adult now! And frankly, some commenters on Jill’s post had some trouble realizing that. Watch the video above to see James now and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

Jill wrote on the post, “This kid. ❤️ Love hanging out with him! #brother #unclejames #buddy #lunch #bestmexicanfoodintown #chimichanga,” noting that the small segment of the Duggar clan was out for Mexican cuisine in this particular shot. But the replies didn’t ask how the food was — instead, they noted how grown up Uncle James seems in the snap!

“James is getting so tall and handsome. How fast time flies! I remember him being your chaperone when you were courting!” one fan wrote. Another noted, “Can’t believe how big each of them have gotten, James included.” But this comment may have summed up the reactions to the photo the best: “When did he grow up?!”

As the older Duggar kids move on and start families of their own, it could be that some of the “middle” and younger kids will pop up on the show more often. Fans may be used to seeing them as little ones, but the truth is, a lot of the former youngsters are teenagers now! And before we know it, they’ll be doing crazy things like courting or planning massive weddings of their own. Then Duggars like James will really seem grown up to the viewers at home.
