Jill Duggar Responds to Speculation She’s Pregnant With Baby No. 3 After Samuel Wears ‘Big Bro’ Shirt

Bun in the oven? Jill Dillard (née Duggar) responded to speculation she is pregnant with baby No. 3 after sharing a new photo of her youngest son, Samuel, wearing a “big bro” shirt while hanging out in their backyard on Monday, July 13.

“Loved the weekend chillin’ as a little family!” the former Counting On star, 29, captioned the snaps, including her husband, Derick Dillard, and their eldest son, Israel. One eagle-eyed fan quickly took notice of the message emblazoned on Sam’s top and asked the TLC alum if she had another bundle of joy on the way. 

“Is there going to be a precious announcement?” they wrote. “Haha no,” she replied. “He just pulled big brother’s shirt out and wouldn’t let me take it off him.”

The mother of two previously sparked pregnancy rumors after revealing she was spending the day baby-proofing her home back in October.

“Finally … for the third time in three years, I’m getting the cabinet locks on,” she captioned a series of photos showing off her array of power tools and locks as she got down to business. While some fans concluded the TV personality was putting in the work to try and reign in some of the havoc her two young sons cause, others speculated she might be getting ready for another little one.

“Y’all expecting baby #3?” one fan asked at the time. “Does that mean there’s new news for you?” another added. A third person had the same idea, but seemed to burst their own bubble. “Aww, [I] was secretly hoping that was a pregnancy announcement!” they wrote. “Keep up the handy work, mama! Jill of all trades!!!”

Last week, Jill and Derick, 31, took their boys to visit the first house they lived in as a married couple. “It was massive. … It was one of my dad [Jim Bob Duggar]’s house flips, and we lived there until it sold,” she shared with her followers on July 7. The couple built their dream house in Lowell, Arkansas, in 2019, and they now reside there. 

As of late, the reality star’s husband has been at odds with her father. On July 8, the law student claimed Counting On doesn’t appear to be “accurate” while airing his grievances about the series. “[The show is] still under [Jim Bob’s] control, and he will attack the victims if they threaten his show,” Derick alleged in a comment on Instagram. “We were humiliated and threatened when we first tried to not film.” 

“Now, it’s not dependent on us anymore to keep the show going because more kids got married, so [it was] more OK if we quit,” he added.

Even though they aren’t expanding their brood, it looks like the Dillards are much happier with their lives outside of the show.
