Gwyneth Paltrow Claps Back at Troll Who Questions Her Culinary Skills: ‘Yes, I F–king Cook!’
Don’t mess with Gwyneth Paltrow! During an Instagram Live Q&A, the actress made it clear that she knows her way around the kitchen. “Do I actually cook?” the 46-year-old said while she read the question out loud on Friday, August 2. “Yes, I f—king cook! Goddammnit. You think I would write — you think I would pretend to write cookbooks if I didn’t cook?”
However, some of her fans couldn’t believe that someone actually asked that question. “Thank you for defending me,” she said. “And f—k that person!”
The blonde beauty has written five cookbooks: Notes From My Kitchen Table, My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness, It’s All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great, It’s All Easy: Delicious Weekday Recipes for the Super-Busy Home Cook and The Clean Plate: Eat, Reset, Heal.
The Goop founder spoke about her recipes during an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show in 2016. “My idea was really like, is it possible to come home from work when you’re exhausted and dealing with kids and homework — my least favorite time of day — and make something that isn’t just a seared chicken breast,” she explained. “Is there something I can make in ten minutes that is unexpected, foodie, delicious and fun.”
Gwyn even spoke about how her kids Apple, 15, and Moses, 13 — whom she shares with ex-husband, Chris Martin — help her in the kitchen. “They’re great, they cook, they can make a lot of things now. It’s really — I think it gives kids a sense of autonomy,” she said. “It’s a great way to kind of instill in them early, like, ‘I can take care of myself. I can make myself a bowl of pasta.’ The look on their faces on what they do that. If it’s their idea, they will try it.”
This isn’t the first time the Iron Man star has clapped back at trolls, either. In February, one user claimed that the Oscar winner’s remarks on social media were “fake as f—k.” But the mom of two fired back, writing, “Sit on it. I write all this dumb stuff myself, you jackass. What else do moms do in the bath with a glass of wine?”
If you can’t take the heat, get out of Gwyneth’s kitchen — literally.
