So Sad

Thank you, love you,” Dog the Bounty Hunter star tweeted on Sunday, June 23. Unfortunately, the blonde beauty didn’t recover.

Making Jokes
It seems like Beth was in good spirits right before she passed. “And that’s the fourth time this week he’s mowed the lawn,” she tweeted on June 22. “What do you think? Does the man have something on his mind or he just forgot how many times he’s mowed the lawn? #AskingForaFriend.”

First Diagnosis
Beth was first diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in September 2017. After she underwent cancer removal surgery and chemotherapy, she was cancer-free in December of that year. “I had a doctor’s appointment just recently where they went in and checked and did another scope down my throat, and the doctor said that it looks like I’m in good condition now,” she told In Touch at the time.

😭 I don't know what to say. I am so heartbroken for all of you 💔 My thoughts and prayers are with you all. We love you Beth. Fly high beautiful angel

Good News
“She got the margins all the way around it, and she recommended that I keep my talking to a bare minimum, like 15 minutes an hour, and keep all the stress out of my life right now,” she added. “She said stress is the No. 1 contributor to cancer, so while [I’m] trying to recover from it, [I] need to keep all of those things away from you. Part of me feels like it’s hard to believe that I had it, part of me thinks it’s hard to believe it’s gone.”

Not Again
Unfortunately, in November 2018, Beth was rushed to the hospital and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a life-threatening blockage in her throat. Shortly after the surgery, she learned her cancer had returned.

Ah. You, as a couple, were inspiring.

Great Outlook
However, Beth stayed positive through her cancer battle. “It [tries], but I rebuke that. I ask God to bind that spirit and keep those thoughts from my head,” she responded to a fan when they asked how she stays so upbeat during the tough times. “I’m no different. I have good days and bad. #WarriorWomen #CancerWillNotBeatMe #WGNAmerica #DogsMostWanted.”

So Honest
“Fighting cancer is the toughest battle I’ve ever been in,” she told Q105 in April. “But my faith in God and the love of my family is helping me through.”

Loving Husband
Of course, Dog was so supportive of his wife. “I am going to be right there with her,” he told In Touch exclusively in December. “First thing when she woke up from the [latest] surgery, she said, ‘Where’s the Dog?’ and the nurse was confused, she said, ‘Did she bring her dog with her?’ and I said, ‘Yes, ma’am.’ I’m here every moment I can be for her.”

Live Your Life
Nothing stopped Beth from living her life, either. “She’s still trying to get involved in my bounties and business,” he said. “She’s still trying to still advise me on my work, and I’m like, ‘Honey, I was Dog the Bounty Hunter before I met you, stay out of it!’”

Meet Cute … Kind of
Beth and Dog met for the first time in 1986 after she got in trouble with the law. Beth was in a grocery store when she got a call from her boss, so she stepped outside while holding the fruit and got caught accidentally shoplifting. She also was carrying an unregistered, unlicensed gun in her pocket.

First Impressions
In his book, Dog revealed what it was like to meet his future wife for the first time, even though there was a 16-year age gap between them. “I was never one of those older guys who went for the young girls.”

So in Love
The TV personality proposed to Beth for the first time in Las Vegas in 2005. “If time wasn’t a factor, I would have married her in a tacky Vegas chapel that night,” he wrote in You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide.

Here Comes the Bride
The pair got married in Hawaii in May 2006 and since then, Dog has stood by her side amidst her health struggles.

My heart goes out to you, brother. It makes it easier knowing you'll get to see her again someday. I'll be praying for you and your family. God bless.

Thinking of You, Dog
“If you don’t really love the person, if you’re not really in love with them and you’re afraid to say that, you go, ‘Love you too.’ And as a human, you love them,” Duane continued. “But when you say, ‘I’m in love with you.’ See the difference? We’ve been together almost 30 years. I don’t know anybody but her, really.”
We’re thinking of the Chapman family during this difficult time.
