A Lot
Cate, 27, and Tyler, also 27, are one of the most beloved couples in the Teen Mom franchise. Fans have seen them go through a lot during their relationship.

Worked Out
Recently, the duo even decided to have a trial separation in order to try to make their marriage better. While that may have seemed strange to other people, it seems to have really worked for them.

Helping
During an interview with Us Weekly in June, Catelynn said the couple is doing well these days. “We’re living in the same place, we did couple’s therapy together and therapy on ourselves as individuals, which I think helped a lot,” she said.

Honesty
She added, “We were just honest with ourselves and with each other during that time. I think, you know, couple’s therapy helped too. Learning how to talk and communicate.”

Connecting
“Tyler and I just click,” Cate continued. “We’re really opposite, but we have a lot of similarities. I just think really open, honest communication [works]. I feel like some people are just meant to be with one another and I really just feel like that’s him and I; we just really bond and click and connect.”

Trust
In fact, the two of them were able to joke on Teen Mom OG about people questioning the status of their relationship precisely because they trust each other.

Bye, Trolls
On July 29, the official TV show account tweeted the scene and wrote, “@CatelynnLowell and @TylerBaltierra are over the online trolls! 👋 #TeenMomOG.”

Criticism
While one fan seemed to be in agreement at first, the person then had some criticism for the two of them about how they take care of their daughter Nova. She’s one of two girls the parents are raising — the other being their baby girl, Vaeda.

Believe
They also have an older daughter, Carly. However, she was placed for adoption because they were very young when they had her. (And you’d better believe they sometimes get comments from trolls about that decision!)

How Could You?
The person replied to the Teen Mom tweet and wrote, “I agree with Ty and Cate. The thing that pissed me off was how could you let Nova climb on the counter? She falls off and starts doing it again and you did nothing.”

Startled
First of all, that’s not an accurate description of the scene. Tyler immediately comforted his daughter, who seemed more startled than hurt.

Just a Sec
The reality TV dad clearly didn’t appreciate the fan’s comments. He tweeted back, “They didn’t show in this scene beforehand, where I told her I was only going to let her sit on the counter for a second until I got her chair that she usually sits on next to me when we make dinner together.”

Get it Right
He continued, “She never climbed back onto it though. I’m am NOT a perfect parent!😂” Get your facts straight, people!

Screw ‘Em
Other followers defended Cate and Tyler in his replies. “Tyler you are a great dad. Things like this happen. It’s called an accident. You learn from it and move on. All the so-called perfect people that are judging you should just be quiet. And that’s a nice way to say it. You do you and keep being a great dad. #Screwthehaters.”

‘#HatersGonnaHate’
Another person wrote, “My two year old climbs on the counter by himself sometimes. Your kids are alive and healthy so screw the haters! Being a parent is hard and we can’t all be ‘perfect’. #kidswillbekids #HatersGonnaHate.”
