Apparently, they’re not fans of this idea. Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra of Teen Mom OG fame are not that impressed by the newest addition to the MTV franchise, and they let their fans and followers on Twitter know. Cate and Tyler, who are both 27, have been with the Teen Mom brand since the days of 16 and Pregnant, so it’s definitely a little interesting that they aren’t into the new series. Check out what they had to say in the gallery below.

Old Pros
Catelynn and Tyler started their journey with MTV on 16 and Pregnant when they were teenagers. The high school sweethearts had been dating for three years when Catelynn found out she was expecting, and the pregnancy was chronicled on the reality series.

It All Worked Out
Ultimately, the couple made the difficult decision to place the baby they welcomed when they were very young — Carly — for adoption. They opted for an open adoption and still get the chance to visit Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis, as well as their biological daughter.

Vaeda
The parents recently added to their little brood again with the arrival of daughter Vaeda. Cate and Tyler welcomed their newborn daughter into the world on February 21. She weighed in at 6 pounds and 4 ounces.

First Photo
The couple has since shared plenty of photos and other updates about their daughter with their media followers. On February 23, Tyler shared the first picture of Vaeda after they were able to bring her home from the hospital. So sweet!

Keepin’ Busy
The parents obviously keep very busy with their two girls, especially with a newborn at home. But they still find the time to post to Twitter and Instagram, much to the delight of their social media followers.

They Found Some Time
Apparently, despite how busy Cate and Tyler are these days, they found the time to comment on MTV’s newest Teen Mom franchise series, Teen Mom Young Moms Club.

Young Moms Club
“Time to address the 🐘 in the room,” the Young Moms Club Twitter posted on April 4. “We understand the confusion around the announcement of #YoungMomsClub. At the heart of #PrettyLittleMamas was a story of [six] moms trying to navigate life, relationships and motherhood. (1/2).”

The “Teen Mom” Lens
The statement continued, “We quickly realized that story is best told through the #TeenMom lens. You’ve seen some of their journey, but we hope that you’ll take a chance to experience the rest. (2/2).” Will you tune in? Because apparently, Tyler and Catelynn might not …

Support
The Teen Mom 2 Twitter account quickly chimed in with support. “HERE FOR THIS! 👏 Let’s welcome these mamas to the #TeenMom family 💞,” its retweet of the statement said.

Burn!
Tyler then retweeted MTV’s post, and he was clearly not impressed. “Umm … didn’t they already try airing this show before & it failed?” he wrote. Harsh!

It Won’t Work
He continued, “So changing the name & using the leftover footage in order to attach it to an already existing successful franchise is somehow going to make it work? .” Tell us how you really feel, Tyler!

Facepalm
Catelynn then put in her two cents by simply retweeting her husband and adding some facepalm emoji. We think it’s a safe bet that these two are not on board with this plan.

Not Impressed
Not all of Cate and Tyler’s fans were entirely happy with them for speaking out on the subject. “You two get really mad about anyone [who’s] not an OG,” one person replied to Catelynn.

“OK Bye”
But they also got a lot of support from Twitter users who were not impressed by the announcement either. “I’m glad I’m not the only one that don’t want to watch another mom show,” one fan responded to Cate’s post. “TEEN MOM OG AND TEEN MOM 2 [sic] are the ONLY show I wanna watch. OK bye 👋🏼.”

The OGs
“Never mess with the originals,” one person replied to Tyler. And really, who’s more OG to the Teen Mom franchise than him and Catelynn?

What Do You Think?
Do you think it was right of Tyler and Catelynn to speak out? Or should they leave the rest of the Teen Mom world alone?
