Still going strong! As MTV’s hit reality TV series Teen Mom OG celebrates its 10 year anniversary this year, fans can’t help but notice how far Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have come. They are the only couple from the original cast that is still together today, but they also faced their share of ups and down over the years. Catelynn, 27, recently shared an update on her relationship with her husband in an interview with Us Weekly, and she revealed that they’re “in a good place” now after hitting a rough patch last year.

“We’re living in the same place, we did couple’s therapy together and therapy on ourselves as individuals, which I think helped a lot,” the reality TV star explained. “We were just honest with ourselves and with each other during that time. I think, you know, couple’s therapy helped too. Learning how to talk and communicate.”

Catelynn referenced the brief period of time in 2018 that she and Tyler, 27, spent one month living apart on a trial separation. The couple had been experiencing issues in their marriage, and Tyler’s therapist suggested that they take a small break from each other and live in separate homes for one month. Catelynn wasn’t thrilled with the idea — especially because she was pregnant with the couple’s third child, daughter Vaeda.

But the mama of three — she and Tyler also share 10-year-old daughter Carly (whom they placed for adoption in 2009) and 4-year-old daughter Novalee — eventually agreed to the trial separation. It seemed like distance actually does make the heart grow fonder because Tyler and Catelynn reunited after their separation and they’ve been going strong ever since.

“Tyler and I just click,” Cate added. “We’re really opposite, but we have a lot of similarities. I just think really open, honest communication [works]. I feel like some people are just meant to be with one another and I really just feel like that’s him and I; we just really bond and click and connect.”
