It hasn’t been an easy week for Beth and Duane “Dog” Chapman. The 51-year-old was rushed to the hospital on Nov. 27 to undergo emergency throat surgery, and then the couple received the devastating news that Beth’s cancer had returned, despite being out of the woods for the past year. Now, Duane’s daughter, Lyssa, is asking her fans to “pray” during this tough time.

Lyssa posted a photo on Instagram that said, “Friends and family matter most during hard times.” She then captioned the photo, “Mahalo for all the well wishes. Please continue to pray for our family.”

Even last year when Beth was first battling cancer, Lyssa took to Instagram to post a sweet picture of her and Beth together. She wrote, “Prayers always needed. #F—kCancer.”

However, Beth seems to be staying positive through all of this. The Dog the Bounty Hunter star finally broke her silence on Instagram on Nov. 29. She shared a photo of her and her husband, cuddling in the hospital bed, and wrote an inspiring message, “Another bend in the road, yet not the end of the road. #faith #love #stayhumblepray.” You’ve got this, Beth!

“Beth is strong as a bull. But I’m like…I think I’m in a bad dream and I need to wake up. People keep saying to me, ‘Dog, are you OK?’ But I am not the one who’s sick,” Duane confessed to In Touch exclusively.

Luckily, the couple has a strong marriage and it sounds like the two aren’t ready to give up on this fight just yet. The 65-year-old said, “I am going to be right there for her. First thing when she woke up from the surgery [on Tuesday], she said, ‘Where’s the Dog?’ and the nurse was confused, she said, ‘Did she bring her dog with her?’ And I said, ‘Yes, ma’am.’”

He continued, “I love my honey so much, I don’t know what I’m going to do.” Right now, the couple is waiting to hear if the cancer has spread. We’re hoping for the best and are definitely sending thoughts and prayers our way to the Chapman family.
