She’s not going down without a fight! It’s been three days since Dog the Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery to remove a blockage in the throat. Since then, she’s learned that her cancer has returned, despite being cured for the past year. Even though she received the tragic news right before the holidays, she’s staying positive and strong as always in her first message to fans since the sad diagnosis.

On Nov. 29, she returned to Instagram for the first time since receiving the news to post a photo from her hospital bed, cuddled up with her husband Duane “Dog” Chapman. They both look exhausted from the ongoing battle, but that doesn’t mean Beth is giving up. “Another bend in the road, yet not the end of the road,” she wrote. She also included the hashtags, “faith,” “love” and “stay humble.” There’s really nothing that can bring this tough lady down!

Speaking to In Touch on Nov. 28, Duane admitted that Beth is incredibly strong. Stronger than him, even. “I love my honey so much, I don’t know what I’m gonna do,” he said. “Beth is strong as a bull. But I’m like… I think I’m in a bad dream and I need to wake up. People keep saying to me ‘Dog are you OK?’ But I’m not the one who’s sick.”

But he’s still going to be the rock for his beautiful wife. He told us, “I am going to be right there with her. I’m here every moment I can be for her, I’ve never had to go through anything like this in my entire life.” Just a year ago, Beth learned that her throat cancer had been cured after invasive surgery. Sadly it appears to have come back, and they’re waiting on tests to see if it’s spread. Our thoughts are with the brave family during this difficult time.
