Uh oh! Mackenzie McKee officially joined the cast of Teen Mom OG and appeared in her very first episode on the series on August 5. That’s good news, right? Yes, but her debut wasn’t exactly all sunshine and rainbows. During the episode, Mackenzie, 24, had a pretty legitimate reason to worry that her husband, Josh McKee, was cheating on her. Multiple sources confirmed to Radar Online in June that Mackenzie would step in as the newest cast member for the Teen Mom franchise after Bristol Palin left.

She retweeted one post about the speculation on June 3 and wrote, “Y’all need to stop playing with this girl’s emotions and let her know if she’s officially joining the franchise or not LOL.”

Obviously, all of that blew over, and Mackenzie is now on the series. Teen Mom OG fans already got a glimpse into her life with her three kids — Gannon, 7, Jaxie, 5, and Broncs, 2.

The show included a sort of recap about what Mackenzie has been up to all this time, including relationship issues with Josh and her mom’s health struggles. “A lot has changed,” Mackenzie explained.

“We’ve separated, been unfaithful, and gotten back together,” Mackenzie explained during the recap. “He’s really stepped up as a husband since we got the news that my mom has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.”

“We’re dealing with a lot,” Mackenzie shared. And she probably didn’t need to worry about her husband being unfaithful on top of all that.

Unfortunately, Mackenzie may indeed have to worry about that again. After Josh left town to compete in the rodeo — which is his career — Mackenzie got a text from a woman who said her husband went to a bar and cheated on her, and that Josh was with him when it happened.

Mackenzie was conflicted about how to handle the situation. But in the end, she decided to confront her spouse.

So when Josh got home, she told him that she was upset that he lied to her about being at the bar without her.

Josh confessed that he was, in fact, at a bar. “There was no affection or anything like that there,” he said. “I’m just here to tell you that I was at a bar.”

He added, “I’d like you to trust me when I’m getting a few drinks at a bar … I was just avoiding the fight, and I was wrong.”
