Ain’t no fakers here! Christie Brinkley is speaking out after Wendy Williams alleged that the 65-year-old faked her Dancing With the Stars injury. The former model refuted the talk show host’s claim and added that she was confused and hurt by the allegation on an episode of The Talk on Thursday, September 19.

“Wendy Williams started this rumor, which was stunning to me because I’ve been on Wendy’s show a couple of times,” the blonde beauty said. “For some reason she liked me, and she would call on me to support her in tough times. So, I got a call one day that she was having a terrible bout of stage fright, and she was about to drop out of Chicago The Musical, and would I come over and talk to her. I was like, ‘You will never meet a more supportive and loving cast. You will love this experience and you will regret it if you don’t do it.’”

Not only was Christie a good friend to the 55-year-old personality when it came to her stage fright, she was also their for her when she split from estranged husband Kevin Hunter. “I was there for her. Then she goes through a divorce, and I get a call again,” the “Uptown Girl” said. “I get a call again, because let’s face it, I’m kind of an expert in that. I came again and was like, ‘I’m going to help you.’”

Despite all the times Christie proved to be sincere, Wendy still threw shade. Known for being endearing, Christie sent some positive words to her frenemy — “My message to Wendy is, it’s so much more fun to be kind,” she said, “Try it. It can’t feel good to try to hurt other people. If it feels good, something’s seriously wrong.”

Wendy caught wind that the model was upset with her over her harsh comments. “Christie, I also heard through my grapevine that you are very upset with me for my opinion on your alleged arm break,” the talk show host said on her Tuesday, September 17, episode. “I’m sorry girl, you know I love you, Christie, it’s just that … I see you with your cast and stuff, I’m not going to double down on what I said, but what I will do is apologize if I hurt your feelings but my opinion still stands.”

After Christie injured herself in rehearsal, ABC announced that her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook would be taking her mother’s place. Wendy theorized that Christie dropped out to give her up-and-coming 21-year-old model daughter some airtime. Will Wendy and Christie ever make amends?
