No fake news here. Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown shutdown any conspiracies that Christie Brinkley’s Dancing With the Stars injury was a publicity stunt, as Wendy Williams previously alleged. The 38-year-old DWTS contestant discussed his disappointment for those that assumed foul play with In Touch exclusively at McDelivery Night In with McDonald’s and Uber Eats on Tuesday, September 17.

“So I will tell you last night I was with Christie. And if you look at her elbow, it is swollen and like, blue and all these things,” Karamo said of the 65-year-old’s ailment. “And I just think that we’re in a space where like, people need to like, not think that there’s always something devious.”

After Christie announced her exit from the show, she added that her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook will be filling in for her. As the 21-year-old is an up-and-coming model, people found the situation all too convenient. “You know, her daughter never wanted to be in TV, never was on TV,” the hunk said. “So it wasn’t something like ‘let’s do a scandal.’ It was really someone who just fell, and I think that’s why I got emotional because I had met her before and I knew how much she wanted this. And so it sucks that people, you know, think that there’s some hidden conspiracy but she really hurt herself.”

Karamo previously spoke with Good Morning America and shared that he “got teary-eyed” upon hearing about Christie’s condition. “She is someone who I have loved my entire life,” he said, adding, “I don’t want her, [or] anyone to be in pain.

Although Karamo is adamant that Christie is truly hurt, Wendy, 55, thinks there is something a little fishy going on. “Well, that looked fake as hell! OK?” The talk show host said of the video footage from the blonde beauty’s accident. “Here’s my thought, OK? Dancing With the Stars called Christie Brinkley and said, ‘Do you want to [do] Dancing With the Stars?’ And so she said, ‘Yes.’ So after she got off the phone, that’s when she plotted her schedule,” Wendy theorized. “… In my opinion, I think what Christie did, was she signed up for Dancing With the Stars knowing that she’d put her daughter Sailor in there.”

Even though Wendy’s claim sounds like the plot of a soap opera we would totally watch, it seems like there is no truth to her allegations.
