‘Counting On’ Alum Amy Duggar Responds to Being Called the ‘Rebel’ of the Family: ‘Thank You So Much!’
Sorry, not sorry! Amy King (née Duggar) took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, March 22, to respond to a fan who called her the “rebel” of her famous family.
“For a ‘rebel,’ you sure are a good influence for all of us! Rebel on!!!” they wrote, to which Amy said, “Hahaha!!! Thank you so much!!!”
The message was seemingly in response to a now-deleted Story redditors were able to capture via screenshot. “Did you have a lot of judgment for being a Duggar but not being fully ‘traditional?'” the question allegedly read. “Ohhhh always,” Amy responded. “I was a rebel for wearing pants!?!? So stupid!”
In a separate post, the mother of one, who is married to husband Dillon King, said being on Counting On was “fun while it lasted,” but she’s “really happy now!”
Happy, indeed. The 33-year-old welcomed the couple’s first child, Daxton Ryan, on October 9 after announcing the exciting news on Easter Sunday last year. “Announcing Daxton Ryan King!” Dillon’s sister Loren Bullard, who also took the beautiful first photo of the complete family, told In Touch. “Both mom and baby are great and healthy! He was 7lbs 8oz and 20in long. Smooth delivery!”
Despite the “rebel” comment, it doesn’t appear that there’s any bad blood between Amy and her cousins. Not only did she and Jill Duggar hang out and swap clothes, but the entrepreneur — who owns a clothing store — recently revealed the best parenting advice she ever got from them.
“They just told me to love on that baby and take time, just like spending time just bonding with Dax when he’s here. And not rush back to work … skin on skin and that kind of thing,” she gushed to In Touch in August. Makes sense!
