The saga continues… 90 Day Fiancé star Colt Johnson is breaking his silence following his wife Larissa Dos Santos Lima’s domestic battery arrest over the weekend. Close to 48 hours later, the Las Vegas, Nevada, native shared a cryptic message on Instagram seemingly calling out fans for getting involved in the situation.

“Self-proclaimed internet sleuths who think they are Woodward and Bernstein,” he captioned an illustration of Homer Simpson holding a clipboard. “They are simply people that spread misinformation, lies, and chaos to make themselves look important. They are nothing and will never be relevant.”

Over the weekend, Larissa took to her own Instagram page to document a fight between her and Colt in the hours leading up to her arrest with a series of terrifying videos. She changed her Instagram username to say “@helpmeimwithoutphone” and used the bio to make a plea for help, which led many concerned fans to call the cops.

Shortly after, Colt set the record straight on Instagram to share his side of the story, and what reportedly led to his wife’s arrest. “Larissa was arrested this afternoon. She suffers from high anxiety and several [sic] depression. She overreacted to problems that do not exist,” Colt wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post, according to screengrabs posted by blogger John Yates. “I proceeded to deactivate her phone to try to defuse the situation. This escalated issues and matters became worse. She felt this action was a threat towards her and tried to reach out for help. Not long after her cry was posted, the police came and knocked down the front door. They drew their guns at me and handcuffed me.”

“The police interviewed us but not long after they decided to arrest Larissa,” he continued. “No one was hurt and I did not press charges against my wife. However, it is policy in the state of Nevada that since we are in a domestic partnership, someone had to be arrested.”

According to the Las Vegas Justice Court docket obtained by In Touch, Larissa’s next court date was originally set for Tuesday, Nov. 13, but has been pushed back to Dec. 11, 2018. It’s currently unclear where Colt and Larissa stand in their relationship, but fans can still tune in every Sunday night to at least watch their on-screen drama unfold.
