Culture Crossover! How ’90 Day Fiance’ Stars Deavan, Darcey and More Are Celebrating Thanksgiving 2020

Cultural crossover! Just like most families across America, reality TV stars from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise are preparing to gather around the table to enjoy good food, good drinks and good times with their friends and family on Thanksgiving. In Touch exclusively chatted with fan-favorites like Darcey Silva, Deavan CleggPaola Mayfield and more to get the scoop on how they’re celebrating Turkey Day 2020.

Unfortunately, holiday celebrations this year will be different due to the coronavirus pandemic. Because of rising cases of COVID-19 across America, most states have implemented social distancing guidelines or have set travel restrictions. In some states, families are advised to keep their Thanksgiving dinner guest list to 10 people and under in order to help prevent the spread of the virus. Even with the uncertainty of the pandemic, 90 Day Fiancé stars are still looking forward to celebrating safely and giving thanks with their loved ones.

TLC’s hit series is known for its diverse cast, thanks to hopeless romantic American citizens embarking on long-distance relationships with people from foreign countries. For many of the foreigners, Thanksgiving is a new holiday as it’s mostly celebrated in its most traditional form in North America.

Howard Lee, president and GM of TLC, launched the franchise in 2014 with 90 Day Fiancé. The popularity of the show and its couples spawned several spinoffs like 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, 90 Day Fiancé: What Now? and 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk. Lee revealed what he thinks led to the franchise’s success in a November 2019 interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I don’t think viewers have ever seen this vast array of cultures intersect with Americans before,” Lee said at the time. “There is somebody from every country who’s been on this series. I’m proud of all the diversity on this series and on the network.”
