Well, that was sassy! Chantel Everett from 90 Day Fiancé — and its spinoff show, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? — seemingly shaded her mother-in-law, Lidia, on Instagram on May 10. All she posted was a simple picture, but it spoke a thousand words. Check out the image in the gallery below, and learn more about Chantel’s relationship with her husband’s family.

Drama
Chantel, 27, and Pedro Jimeno, also 27, have a relationship that’s unfortunately been filled with drama.

Issues
The couple was first introduced on 90 Day Fiancé, but they also appear in the latest season of Happily Ever After? In general, they’re still going strong, but many of the issues they had early on in their relationship remain.

The Struggle
Mainly, both Chantel and Pedro struggle with each other’s families. That can make any relationship difficult, but the fact that they were also wrestling with visa concerns early on made things even more complicated and tense.

Using Her
Chantel’s family didn’t trust Pedro because they were worried he was using her for a green card. Wouldn’t be the first time that accusation was thrown around on the show!

Not Into It
Meanwhile, Pedro’s family didn’t appreciate how Chantel’s family treated Pedro (not completely unfair). That led to them not being overly fond of Chantel, either.

Not Thrilled
After the duo was married, Pedro got his green card and was able to legally work. He started to send money and gifts to the Dominican Republic for his mother, Lidia, and sister, Nicole. Chantel wasn’t super thrilled with that development.

Uh Oh
Then everything came to a head not long before Chantel and Pedro had a second wedding in his home country.

Set Her Off
Nicole and Chantel were arguing, and in the midst of their discussion, Lidia said if Chantel didn’t trust Pedro or his family, then she should let him go. Nicole then said “divorcia te en punto,” which means “divorce him, period” in Spanish. However, Chantel thought Nicole said, “puta,” which mean “bitch” in Spanish. Obviously, that set her off.

Infamous
Later, Nicole was invited to Georgia to visit Pedro and Chantel, but the women hadn’t really patched things up. An infamous fight between Pedro and Chantel’s brother, River Everett, took place while she was in town, and made things even worse.

Not Fond
It’s safe to say that everyone involved isn’t about to make up anytime soon, and it shouldn’t come as a shock that neither Pedro nor Chantel seem all that fond of their in-laws.

The Shade
In fact, Pedro is kind of notorious for shading his mother-in-law, Karen, on social media.

Eek
For example, on May 7, he shared a photo of a snake biting a man on the face to his Instagram story. In the caption, he called it “the kiss of the mother-in-law,” and included a crying-laughing emoji. Yikes.

Salty
Now, it appears that Chantel is following suit and sharing her own salty memes.

Why Not?
She seemingly shaded her own mother-in-law with an image posted to her Instagram Story on May 10. Hey, if her husband can do it, why not her?

So Shady
The meme began, “A toast to the mother-in-laws that try to micro-manage their adult sons/daughters love lives but have never had a successful one themselves.” Wow, tell us how you really feel, Chantel!

Here’s To You
The caption on the image continued, “Here’s to you bitches!” and included a picture of a woman giving a toast.

Your Thoughts?
Do you think Chantel meant to blatantly call out her mother-in-law? Or could the meme have been about someone else? Let us know!
