’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Ricky Seeks Treatment at a Facility Amid Mental Health Battle

The former 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star has been pretty active on social media over the last few months, sharing photos of his weight loss journey.

But fans got worried when they realized that Ricky had not been as responsive on social media as he usually is.

So he took to his Instagram Story to share an update.

“Sorry for those that are trying to DM me, I cannot at the moment please understand,” Ricky wrote. “However thanks for the love and support, I am really listening to you guys and it feels great!”

Fans started to show Ricky an outpouring of love and support on social media after 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates broke the news about his current mental health battle.

“[Ricky] wasn’t feeling great mentally on Wednesday and decided to be proactive thank God and seek mental help voluntarily,” John wrote on Instagram on Saturday, March 9.

“He’s in good hands at a hospital where he has access to his phone three times a day so that’s how he’s been on IG,” the caption continued.

Fans flooded Ricky’s most recent Instagram post with comments of love and support.

“Prayers Ricky and hoping everything is alright. Lovee and blessings,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Wishing you well Ricky. Sending you prayers and please know you are supported.”

Ricky was first introduced to fans of the hit TLC reality TV franchise on season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.

But he received quite a bit of backlash from fans after the way he treated his ex-fiancée, Ximena Parra.

Ricky had originally joined the show in order to document his first meeting with his Colombian online girlfriend Melissa, but she ghosted him after their first date.

After Melissa blew him off, Ricky then reached out to Ximena and they spent time together for the rest of Ricky’s vacation in Colombia.

At the end of his trip, Ricky ended up proposing to Ximena with the ring that he originally bought for Melissa.

But despite the hate he got for the way he was portrayed on the show, fans are now rallying around him in his time of need.
