Time for a change? 90 Day Fiancé stars Loren Brovarnik and husband Alexei Brovarnik are considering moving their family from Florida to Israel on season 2 of their TLC spinoff, Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days. Keep scrolling to see what they have said about the move, how Loren’s family responded and more.

Are Loren Brovarnik and Alexei Brovarnik Moving to Israel?

The couple first revealed their idea to move to Israel while talking to Loren’s parents, Bryan and Marlene Goldstone.

“Alex and I agree that it’s important for our kids to experience where [he] is from to understand the culture,” Loren, 34, said during a joint confessional during season 2 of Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days. “But it’s a complete change, it’s not moving to a different state where you still understand American culture. You’re moving around the world to a completely different culture.”

During a family dinner, the couple broached the idea with Loren’s family who were less than thrilled by the prospect.

“We’re thinking about going to Israel,” Alexei, 34, began in the teaser which was first shared by People. “Not for the trip, for living there for a little bit. Overall, what do you think for the kids to grow in Israel for about five, six years?” he asked his in-laws.

Bryan and Marlene did not mask their distaste as Loren’s mom immediately said, “I think it’s awful, because I’m not going to be part of it.”

In a subsequent confessional Loren’s father questioned, “What man would ask his wife and children to do this?” before adding that this was “one of the reasons” he didn’t want his daughter marrying an Israeli man.

“Israelis always seem to go back,” Bryan said.

What Happened During Loren Brovarnik and Alexei Brovarnik’s Trip to Israel?

During the December 26 episode of the reality show, Loren and Alexei traveled to Israel for 10 days with their kids and her parents.

Alexei noted that the trip marks the first time both his and Loren’s family will be together since their wedding. However, Bryan said he thought that they were only invited to watch their grandkids.

Once the group arrived in Israel, Alexei shared that his family did not know that Loren was pregnant during the trip. After sharing that he and Loren are considering moving, he admitted he hoped that Bryan and Marlene didn’t “embarrass them.”

Loren and Alexei continued to discuss the idea of moving during the January 2 episode. While meeting up with his friends during a beach day, Alexei admitted he feared that Marlene’s concerns over the move will change Loren’s mind “little by little.”

What Do Loren and Alexei’s Parents Think About Their Idea to Move to Israel?

Also during the January 2 episode, Loren and Alexei finally told both of their parents that they’re considering moving to Israel. Marlene didn’t take the news well and said it would break her heart if they moved, though Alexei’s parents insisted that she was overreacting.

Both set of parents later discussed the move, with Bryan saying he does not think it’s a good idea for Loren and Alexei to relocate. Marlene added that she worried that their grandkids would have to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces, also known as the IDF, if they have dual citizenship.

Could Loren Lose Custody of Their Kids If She Moves to Israel With Alexei?

During the January 9, 2023, episode, Loren’s dad explained one of the reasons why he didn’t think it would be a good idea for his daughter to move to Israel with her husband and kids.

“I said a lot today and you’re not gonna like it. Any of it. I told Alex that you need to speak to a, it’s not a divorce attorney. A custody attorney. I think you should know the custody laws in Israel. Israel is a very modern country,” Bryan says. “It’s also a Middle Eastern country with archaic laws and things, and who would have the right to those children? You have to find out, would you even be allowed to take the children back out of the county? Cause that’s a real possibility in the Mideast.”

At that point, Alexei got up and walked away from the conversation. In his confessional, he explained why he was offended by his father-in-law’s comments.

“I’m really pissed he went that way,” Alexei said. “I did not think that after seven years I still have, you know, so little trust, and he has so little trust in me. I think at some point he will come to realize that if we decide things we’re gonna go through with them and if he’s against it, he’s gonna lose us forever.”

In January, a legal expert exclusively told In Touch that moving to Israel “would not be advisable” for custody reasons.

“Israel has some difficult custody laws. If Loren and Alexei would happen to get divorced there, Loren is using their laws and system so they will use Israel’s custody laws,” Kathleen Martinez, who is repped by Dominique Enchinton of Dominton Talent House, explained. “Divorcing there and going through custody proceedings would not be advisable if she were my client.”

The immigration attorney then noted that Israel’s laws are very intricate and custody would depend on the situation. “Israel employs the Tender Age Doctrine, which is a presumption that for children under 6 years old it’s in their best interest to be placed with the mother,” she said. “However, it is possible to appeal this.”

Where Do Loren and Alexei Live Now?

During season 2 of Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days, fans watched the couple search for a larger home as Loren was pregnant with Asher. They currently reside in Hallandale Beach, Florida.

However, it appears they are ready to make a move. In Touch exclusively revealed in January 2023 that Loren and Alexei put their three-bedroom, two-bathroom Florida condominium on the market for $575,000. The property was listed by Marlene in October 2022.

How Long Have Loren Brovarnik and Alexei Brovarnik Been Together?

Loren and Alexei were first introduced to TLC viewers during season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé and later landed their own spinoff series after appearing on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. The pair met during Loren’s birthright trip to Alexei’s native country, and two years later they tied the knot in September 2015. They celebrated with a second ceremony the following year in Israel.

The happy couple went on to welcome their first child, son Shai Josef Brovarnik, in April 2020. In August 2021, the pair’s second son, Asher Noah Brovarnik, joined the family. Baby No. 3, daughter Ariel Raya Brovarnik, was born in September 2022.

Ahead of their daughter’s birth, the couple exclusively revealed to In Touch that they were done having children.

“This is the last one. We’re done. I’m done,” Loren said in June.

While the reality TV couple’s family is complete, they still have their hands full with three children under three years old. Though they are not on board for an international move, Loren’s parents feel that she and Alexei should move “closer” to their house as “it’s easier for [them] to babysit.”
