What a sweet moment! Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have really come such a long way since fans were first introduced to them on their episode of 16 and Pregnant. Fans watched them make the difficult decision to place their firstborn daughter, Carly, for adoption and have followed along with their journey as birth parents. But during a very rare moment on part 1 of the Teen Mom OG reunion, Cate and Ty were joined onstage by Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis, for the first time in 10 years and together, they all reflected on their journey together through their open adoption. Scroll through the gallery below for more details.
Cate, 27, and Ty, 27, both gushed over their recent visit with Carly, which took place earlier this year. This visit was monumental not only because Carly got to meet her new baby sister, Vaeda, but because Carly also got to visit with her biological grandparents too.

“I think for the grandparents to be able to come, they haven’t seen her since the wedding so yeah,” Tyler said.

They also revealed that Carly had the sweetest reaction to meeting her new baby sister, Vaeda, and she doted on her baby sis during the visit.

“She’s a nurturer, Carly,” Tyler said. “She’s very, very maternal. You can tell, she kind of takes all of the kids.”

“I told Teresa, she would be a great babysitter one day,” Catelynn added.

“At the end of the day, regardless of what’s going on, seeing all those girls together — it’s like, this is what it’s all about. So, whatever we have to do to make sure it happens all the time, it’s important for the kids,” Tyler added.

When Brandon and Teresa joined Catelynn and Tyler onstage, the four of them reminisced about what their first meeting was like and how nervous they all were.

Then Dr. Drew asked Brandon and Teresa if they thought that the 17-year-olds they met back in 2009 would stay together after all these years, and Teresa had the sweetest response.

“I mean, look at the clip and if you go back to 16 and Pregnant, Catelynn and Tyler were … you guys were pretty tight and bonded. So it’s not necessarily surprising when we go back to what we know of them when we first met them,” Teresa said.

Carly’s adoptive parents also opened up about the first time they held her for the first time. “The feeling any mom has when she first holds her child, I mean, I don’t know what you can say other than how amazing that is,” Teresa said, getting emotional.

“And then I’m standing there with [a] sweet, young girl, birth mother, who’s handing that child to me. I mean, it’s definitely an experience like no other. The thankfulness and the gratefulness you have for that. They’re all kind of wrapped up into one.”

Catelynn and Tyler agreed, and they gushed about their choice for keeping Carly’s adoption open. They also thanked Brandon and Teresa for allowing them to still be a part of their firstborn child’s life.

“Thank you for letting us be involved and see her and just being amazing parents for her. We couldn’t really ask for anything for more, honestly,” Tyler said.

“The first thing that comes to our mind is always thankfulness, gratefulness for y’all and I mean, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for that,” Brandon said.
