She’s facing a tough fight. Teen Mom OG starMackenzie McKee’s mom, Angie Douthit, gave an update about her cancer battle on the MTV show on September 2, and it doesn’t sound good. During a recent episode of the series, Mackenzie’s mom revealed that she only has six months to live because the lung cancer had spread throughout her body.She detailed exactly what that means, and what she’s doing to face that reality, on the reunion episode. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Angie’s cancer returned and that she had five inoperable masses in her brain and a large mass on her lung.

Six Months
In a previous episode of Teen Mom OG, she admitted that her doctors said she only had about six months left to live. “I wanted to tell you I was better. But they told me that it’s in both femurs,” she revealed.

All Over
“It’s in my breast bone; it’s in my hip bones; this backbone that’s attached to your hip bone, it’s back there,” she added. “It’s half of my liver. It’s in the lymph nodes of my colon and the lymph nodes in my lungs. I have another tumor in my head.”

Nothing to Be Done
“He said six months would be really, really pushing it,” Angie said. “The doctors know they can’t do anything about this, really.”

No Miracle
Then, in an interview with Radar Online published on August 21, Mackenzie said, “We just got the news yesterday that her blood counts are too low to continue with chemo … There has been no miracle, but she is still with us.”

Dr. Drew also asked Angie about her health on the first half of the Teen Mom OG reunion special on September 2.

Spread
Mackenzie’s mom reiterated that she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has now spread to her brain.

Unique
“I’m unique from what my doctors tell me,” she explained to the reunion host. “I have non-small cell carcinoma. In my lungs, which is lung cancer. Stage 4.”

Unheard Of
“I also have small cell carcinoma in my lungs, and that doesn’t happen,” she added. “No one gets both kinds of lung cancer.”

Shock
Dr. Drew expressed shock over that particularly because Angie doesn’t smoke. “Nonsmoker, marathon runner,” Angie confirmed. “It’s just blowing everybody’s mind.”

Mackenzie’s mom also, unfortunately, revealed that she now has ten tumors in her brain. “I have a tumor the size of an orange in my right lung that was wrapped around my windpipe,” she said. She added that she has countless ‘“tiny” tumors in her lungs — 40 on one side alone and they’ve given up counting on the other side.

Believe
It’s also in her liver, bowels and lymph nodes. Sadly, Angie repeated, chemo isn’t going to cure her. But she believes God can.

Faith
“My life is in God’s hands,” Angie said. Dr. Drew asked Mackenzie if she had that same faith, and she said she does.

Not Ready
However, the Teen Mom star also admitted she’s not ready for the outcome — losing her mom — if things don’t work out how they want.

Hang On
Mackenzie’s dad said they’re just “hanging on” and taking things “one day at a time” at this point, which is really all they can do.

“She was always the glue that held me together,” Mackenzie said of her mom.
