Unique love lives. TLC is helping a new cast find second or third spouses in polyandrous relationships in the upcoming series, Seeking Brother Husband. Keep scrolling to find out details about the cast, premiere date, what the show is about and more.

What Is ‘Seeking Brother Husband’ About?

Seeking Brother Husband follows four polyandrous relationships as they look to find husbands to add to their families.

While the new show is different from Sister Wives and Seeking Sister Wife, Seeking Brother Husband is not the network’s first show about polyandry.

Brother Husbands previously aired on TLC in 2017, which documented the lives of Amanda Stone, her first husband, Chad, and her second husband, Jeremy. The family has five children, who were all raised together as siblings.

Who Is In the Cast of ‘Seeking Brother Husband’?

The cast is made up of four couples that are at different stages of their relationships and search to find new husbands. Fans will be able to watch the ups and downs as the cast navigates the life-changing decisions of expanding their families, as well as testing their own boundaries.

Kenya and Carl, who reside in Houston, Texas, “connect on a philosophical level,” have been married for 26 years and share three adult children. Husband No. 2, Tiger, “fulfills Kenya’s emotional and physical needs.” However, after 10 years, Kenya is looking for “even more thrill, adventure and attention,” and fans will see how the family dynamic shifts as she searches for a potential third husband.

TLC fans will meet Los Angeles residents and newlyweds Mike and his wife Elisa, who has a “strong desire to have multiple husbands and is open for a lifestyle change.” While Mike is supportive of her, he admittedly has a “some level of jealousy” about her interest in polyandry.

Viewers will also be introduced to Asheville, North Carolina, residents Kim and Dustin, who have been married for 11 years, along with Vinson, their first brother husband. Though Vinson has a “great relationship” with both of them, he’s not sure whether he’s ready to share their special bond with anyone but the three of them.

The last couple fans will meet are Atlanta dwellers Chara and Patrick, who have been married for 13 years. Though the couple drifted apart, they still share a close “emotional bond,” and explored fulfilling Chara’s needs with other partner Noble. However, while Noble is still living the “single man’s lifestyle,” Chara is ready to expand their family – and isn’t sure which brother husband should be the biological father.

What Happens in the First Trailer for ‘Seeking Brother Husband’?

The first trailer for the new reality show was released in January 2023.

The clip begins with Kenya explaining that “polyandry is the practice of one woman having multiple husbands, but those husbands cannot have any other partners.”

“There’s definitely a double standard when a female has multiple partners,” Elisa said in a confessional alongside her husband. “It’s, ‘Oh my god, she’s such a slut, she sleeps around.’”

As the clip continues, the couples have tough conversations as they discuss their comfort levels.

“To do this lifestyle successfully, you have to be willing to go outside of your own comfort zones,” Kenya explained.

Elisa added that she isn’t in a polyandrous relationship simply to have sex with other men.
