Honesty hour. On Friday, April 26, Pink revealed in a new interview with Carson Daly that she struggles with mental health issues and wants people to know that it’s OK to talk about.

“For my generation, I feel like it was depression and suicide. And suicide is super prevalent still, but now it’s like it comes from a place of anxiety,” the 39-year-old said during an appearance on NBC News’ Today. “And I get that. I fully understand that, and I’ve been depressed, I have anxiety. I overthink everything.”

The blonde beauty wants everyone to be open about what they’re going through and doesn’t want them to keep it bottled up. “I’m hopeful that the taboo of it is all going away because more and more people are talking about it,” she said. “I think talking about it is the most important thing. And I know that anxiety is, like, the number one thing that kids now are going through.”

So, how does the mom of two get through the hard times? “What I do is I keep the right people around me, and I go to therapy,” she said. The “Can We Pretend” singer also confessed that she sees a therapist with her husband, Carey Hart. “And Cary and I have been in couples’ counseling almost our entire 17 years that we’ve been together. It’s the only reason we’re still together.”

Both Pink and Carey’s upbringings could be a reason why their relationship started off rocky, but now the duo is in a great place. “Both of our families are — we come from broken families, and we had no model of, ‘How are we supposed to keep this family together, and live this crazy life?’” she continued. “And there’s no model, there’s no book that says, ‘Here’s how to do this.’ So, we go to counseling and it works.”

The couple got married in 2006, then split up two times before realizing that they were in it for the long haul. “Can’t believe it’s our 13th wedding anniversary,” Carey wrote on Instagram in January. “Who would have thought two misfits like us could pull it off!!! I’m very grateful for you, baby. We have created an amazing life and family together. I love you. #17YearsStrong.” Now, the pair share two kids — daughter Willow, 7, and son Jameson, 2.

We love that you always keep it real, girl!
