Honesty HourPete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly Bond Over Their Love of Weed
Puff, puff, pass! Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly (real name: Colson Baker) are best friends, but one thing they bond over is their love of weed.
The dynamic duo sat down with Coveteur to promote their new movie, The Dirt, and they couldn’t help but discuss their guilty pleasure. “Yeah, I can probably speak for Pete and I on this one,” the “Bad Things” crooner said. “I think both of our favorite indulgences are weed. Cut to Pete saying the exact same thing I bet.”
And he was right! “Colson’s favorite indulgence is smoking marijuana.” The pair got candid about their tight bond and were constantly making each other laugh during their press event.
The SNL star, 25, had a crazy last few months, to say the least. But one person who has always been by his side is the 28-year-old rapper. Pete admitted that the best piece of advice that MGK ever gave him was simple. “F—k that s—t, homie,” he said.
When MGK was asked the same question, he replied, “Being there for me and vice versa for him during the last couple of months of 2018. That was really gnarly times for both of us.”
Gnarly, indeed! After the Staten Island native ended his engagement to Ariana Grande, he wrote an alarming message on social media. “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore,” he said in December 2018. “I’m doing my best to stay here for you, but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.”
Within an hour, MGK tweeted, “I’m [on] the plane now on the way to see Pete. Gonna make sure he’s good, I promise. Can’t have my boy in the darkness like that.”
Now, it seems like the comedian is doing much better since he started dating Kate Beckinsale. Even MGK gives his seal of approval! “I love that s—t,” he said in an interview about their romance.
Two words: Bestie. Goals.
