Is the truth finally coming out? On Thursday, March 21, Ariana Grande uploaded an interesting Instagram Story titled “Letting Someone Go” that seemingly refers to her ex Pete Davidson — five months since she ended her engagement with the SNL star.

“Sometimes, the reason for letting someone go is because they can’t help but hurt you during this phase of their life,” the note read. “When you love someone deeply, you learn what demons live within them and you realize that they are hurting you because they are hurting somewhere within themselves. They are fighting a battle within and may not even know it, so they take it out on you and fight you.”

The quote continued: “Decide to let them go, but not because you’re being petty and resentful. You let them go because you really believe that the both of you can find the healing you truly need without being together and hurting each other in the process. Letting someone go doesn’t mean you stop loving and caring about anyone. Letting go means you’re choosing freedom over the illusion of loyalty.”

While the “Needy” crooner, 25, didn’t name anyone specifically, fans think that she could be talking about her brief relationship with the 25-year-old.

Despite the cryptic words, it seems like the Grammy winner has moved on from Pete. Earlier this month, Ari was spotted with two of her exesBig Sean and Graham Phillips. Meanwhile, the Staten Island native seems to be doing just fine since he is dating Kate Beckinsale.

“Despite the animosity between them, Ariana wants Pete to be happy,” a source told In Touch exclusively. “Ariana’s a nice person and found it extremely upsetting to watch Pete hit rock bottom. From her point of view, if Pete’s in a better place now that’s all that matters, even if it means finding happiness in the arms of someone else.”

For now, we’ll just wait for more details, Ari.
