Keeping it real. Paris Hilton sunk our ship on Sunday, February 24, at Elton John’s 2019 Oscars viewing party when she denied her rumored new romance with Machine Gun Kelly (real name Richard Colson Baker.)

“Oh, we’re just friends,” the 38-year-old socialite confessed to Us Weekly after being confronted about where her relationship with MGK, 28, stands. The “that’s hot” icon also admitted, “I’m happy to be single right now.”

The rumor mill started when Paris and the rapper were spotted cozying up to each other on Tuesday, February 19, at an event for Tings magazine in Los Angeles. A source told Us Weekly that the two “met at the event and it was a small group of people, but there was instant chemistry between the two of them. They were talking almost the whole night and all smiles and he seemed into her. He has a presence to him and a small group including the two of them went out afterwards.”

And Paris honestly seemed into him as well! The socialite took to Instagram to show off her new friendship with the “RAP DEVIL” musician. In the photo, MGK can be seen getting pretty close to Paris, with his hand tightly wrapped around her butt. Admitting to the fun evening, Paris caption the pic “lit night.”

According to E!, the duo’s fun did not end there. A source told E! News that the two “really hit it off.” After the event, they even went to hot spot Delilah for drinks where they had a great time, the source revealed.

Mhmm, so maybe let’s just give them a little more time …

MGK is the first person Paris has been connected to since she and fiancé Chris Zylka broke off their 10-month-engagement in November 2018. A source exclusively revealed to In Touch at the time that the almost two-year relationship “exploded when they had a fight at home. Chris told Paris that she only surrounds herself with ‘yes men.’ Things have been tense for a while, but that really set her off.”

The DJ is enjoying her single days, but “if the right guy came around she’d be open to it,” a source told Us Weekly in January. “Paris has been out and about and when she is, she’ll take note of guys around her and tell her friends if she thinks a guy is cute or smart,” the source continued.

Still, you definitely won’t be seeing the blonde beauty on any dating apps. On December 19, 2018, Paris made an appearance on The Jenny McCarthy Show where they spoke about the world’s new obsession with dating apps. “All my friends are on [Raya] and I watch them, and it’s just not even cute people. It’s, like, they’re creepy,” Paris told the 46-year-old host.

We know that Paris will find her prince charming one day, and so does her entire family! Paris’s aunt, Real Housewies of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards told Us Weekly Paris will “of course” find true love in the future.

Well, until then she will be living the single, simple life.
