Dare to BareSee the Most Outlandish and Skin-Flashing Celeb Fashions From the MTV VMAs
Dressed to impress. The highly anticipated 2020 MTV Video Music Awards will be kicking off Sunday, August 30, and that means the celebrities will be bringing their A-game in the fashion department when they arrive at the New York City venue.
The red carpet might look slightly different this year given the coronavirus pandemic, but the A-listers will certainly be looking their best for the star-studded event. Keke Palmer will be serving as the hostess for the lavish soiree.
“The VMAs applied through the [New York Department of Health] to allow individuals coming from travel advisory states to participate in the production of the show, in line with the methodology granted for professional sports,” officials told Vulture ahead of the awards show in the Big Apple. “Similar to professional athletes, the VMA cast and crew are required to adhere to strict procedures which include quarantining when not working, wearing masks and appropriate social distancing, and rigorous testing during their stay.”
Fans can’t wait to see what the stars wear after last year’s ceremony. Many celebs pulled out the stops with their dazzling ensembles at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Whether it was a skin-tight gown, a jewel-encrusted frock or a barely-there getup, they proved to go the extra mile with their outfits. Taylor Swift showed up in a sequin-covered outfit from Versace with black Louboutin boots, sending pulses racing with her gorgeous gams.
Gigi Hadid wowed in a monochromatic nude ensemble designed by Tom Ford paired with trousers, a beige corset top, bag and pointed-toe pumps. Camila Cabello looked ethereal in a Balmain white satin gown that flaunted her sun-kissed legs, while Hustlers star Keke dropped jaws in a sparkling yellow sequin gown paired with matching heels … and that wasn’t the only slayage taking place.
Halsey opted for a pop of color with the rainbow-themed roots in her hair, which complimented her sheer red gown worn with a sultry bodysuit.
We’re taking a look back at the most outlandish and skin-baring ensembles that captured everyone’s attention in previous years.
