Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter’s Relationship ‘Isn’t Just for Show’: ‘They’re Genuinely in Love’

Though some may still doubt how legit Miley Cyrus‘ relationship is with Kaitlynn Carter, an insider spilled to In Touch that the couple is the real deal. Though the two were spotted kissing on the beach in Italy the same day the news broke about the singer’s split from ex Liam Hemsworth, this romance is no rebound. According to the source, Miley’s impending divorce doesn’t seem to be an issue at all for the womens’ romance. They’re having fun getting to know each other, and they’re not letting anything get in their way.

“Miley and Kaitlynn’s relationship isn’t just for show,” the insider exclusively told In Touch. “They’re genuinely in love. … Miley is so happy.” The “Slide Away” singer recently helped celebrate her new boo’s birthday, and it was clear they were “having a blast” at the party. “You’d never know [Miley] was going through a divorce,” they continued. “She was acting like she didn’t have a care in the world.”

Miley, 26, and Kaitlynn, 31, were “all over one another” according to an eyewitness at the festivities on Wednesday, September 4. “[They] didn’t care who saw,” they said. The two were equally loved up on Instagram, posing for sweet photos together before the night started to heat up. It’s clear they’re comfortable as a couple — though that may be because they’ve actually been together longer than anyone knows. The Hills: New Beginnings celeb’s costar Spencer Pratt recently claimed that there was more to the relationship than fans had heard.

“It’s tough for me to listen to Kaitlynn complain about people talking about her allegedly open relationship with Brody [Jenner] when we know she had a thing going with Miley,” he wrote on Monday, September 2, while recapping the show for Cosmopolitan. “She already had something going on with [Miley] when these scenes were filming — maybe not physically, but definitely emotionally. … No one’s judging you for whatever it is you and Brody do when he’s not sleeping in his car,” he said. “We just don’t want people to lie about their lives.”
