It hasn’t been an easy couple of months for some of the cast members of Jersey Shore. There’s drama between J.Woww and her estranged husband, Roger Mathews, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro hasn’t been getting along with his baby mama, Jen Harley, and now, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is heading to jail as early as Jan. 15. On Jan. 10, Joey Camasta, who is friendly with the cast, spilled the tea on what Mike’s upcoming plans are while he’s locked up.

“He is actually writing a book when he is away,” Joey explained, while he co-hosted the popular YouTube show The Morning Toast. “He’s going to write his journal. He is going to live his life, live his truth.” Since Mike, 36, hasn’t left yet, we aren’t quite sure what to expect from his upcoming novel, but we do know that it will be filled with interesting tidbits about his experience in the slammer.

On Oct. 5, the Jersey Shore star was sentenced to eight months in prison on tax evasion charges. The MTV personality has been making the most of his last few months — he got married to his college sweetheart, Lauren Sorrentino, née Pesce, honeymooned in Italy, and celebrated his third year of sobriety.

The cast of the hit show had a big Christmas dinner, where they got to say goodbye to Mike before he leaves. “Everyone is sad,” Joey admitted. “He is the last person you would want to go through that because he’s so genuine and sweet. He is accepting it and he is going to be an adult about it. He is very strong — spiritually and mentally. I think it will be fine, it’s just sad that he just got married, and now you have to go and leave.”

Even his co-star and BFF Vinny Guadagnino is in awe of how Mike is handling uh…the situation. “Mike is an inspirational person,” he confessed to Life & Style.

We wish the New Jersey native nothing but the best during this tough time. You can bet we’ll be first in line as soon as the book comes out!
