This is so touching. On Dec. 24, Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWoww” Farley released a new YouTube video updating fans on her son, Greyson Mathews. For those of you who are unaware, the two-year-old was recently diagnosed with Autism. Scroll through our gallery below to learn more about his journey.
On Nov. 28, after nearly three months of emotional updates regarding Greyson’s speech delay, Jenni formally revealed her son’s diagnosis to fans. The mother-of-two explained that Greyson is “non-verbal.”
“He’s understanding words better which was his issue. Not that he couldn’t speak, but he would never know what his shoe is or if you said, ‘Greyson,’ he actually didn’t even know his name at one point until he was a little over two,” she continued. “So now that he’s understanding simple words, he’s come so far.”
JWoww then opened up about how Greyson’s development made her feel as a parent. “It was really heartbreaking and frustrating as a mom when you see other two-year-olds that are speaking and living their best life,” she admitted.
“My son also has Autism. He turned two in August. It’s hard, but we are strong women and we will help our babies make it through anything! Greyson will do great things… just wait and see,” added another.
As Jenni stated, learning of her son’s diagnosis hasn’t been easy. However, it’s clear that he’s a strong brave little boy who has all the potential in the world. We absolutely cannot wait to see how far he’ll go.
