Doing alright? Matt Lauer was spotted in public for the first time in 2019 at the West Palm Beach airport in Florida. The disgraced former Today show host was all alone and eyewitnesses told Radar Online that he appeared to be “very thin.” After Matt was fired from his illustrious job at NBC in Nov. 2017 over his sexual misconduct scandal, the controversy also reportedly sparked the end of his relationship with estranged wife Annette Roque. It seemed like Matt didn’t really want to be noticed as he remained on the phone most of the time and didn’t strike up a conversation with anyone.

Matt was wearing a sweater, despite the Florida heat, and his face was hidden with glasses and a baseball hat. According to eyewitnesses, Matt appeared to be very “gaunt” and “didn’t look like himself.” He had his golf clubs with him and carried his own luggage.

An Escape?

“He loves the weather and golf,” a source told Radar about his trip to West Palm Beach. On top of that, his parents used to live in Palm Beach Gardens so he would vacation there frequently. Matt was last photographed hanging out solo in the Hamptons in early December, so it looks like he’s making the most out of his alone time.
