Jersey Shore’s Lauren Sorrentino Quips About Waiting for Husband Mike ‘The Situation’ to Get Out of Prison

Staying positive! Lauren Sorrentino (née Pesce) shared a playful new Instagram post about her husband, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, amid his impending prison release. Lauren was dressed to impress in her photo shared on July 21 and she’s clearly looking forward to their reunion.

“Waiting for my husband to get out like,” Lauren, 34, captioned her new photo, showing her rocking a chic black dress with her hair up in a topknot for Deena Cortese’s son’s baptism. Several fans shared their excitement about Mike’s prison sentence coming to an end soon, taking to the comment section with messages of support. “Mike is gonna hug you so hard for a week. Never let go,” one chimed in. “You’re both so strong and such an inspiration. 2 more months,” another added.

The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star, 37, has been serving an eight-month prison sentence for tax evasion at Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York. Mike’s release date is reportedly set for September 13, 2019, so it won’t be much longer until he’s a free man once again.

In April, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi opened up about his time behind bars and revealed that Mike was “having the time of his life,” despite the circumstances. While chatting with E! News, the MTV alum said, “It’s like his in a senior home, he’s playing Bingo, he’s helping people recover in jail.”

“We all talk to him through an email, so I talk to him like once a week,” she added. “He’s in the gym a lot, so he’s probably gonna come out ripped. You know, he’s not gonna be BDS anymore — Big Daddy Sitch — he’s gonna have his, probably, six-pack again. But … he’s doing good in there.”

Mike and Lauren previously took their relationship to the next level by getting married in November 2018 and they’ve been trying their best stay optimistic. In April, Lauren said they are “stronger than ever.” We’re sure he’ll be surrounded by friends and his Jersey Shore family the day he’s released!
