Lamar Odom ‘Hasn’t Spoken to’ Kim and Rob Kardashian Despite Thinking About Asking for ‘DWTS’ Advice
Moving on? Lamar Odom revealed he has not received support from Rob Kardashian or Kim Kardashian since they were previously on Dancing With the Stars, despite thinking about asking them for advice. “I haven’t spoken to them,” the 39-year-old basketball player told In Touch and other reporters during the live taping of DWTS on Monday, September 23.
One month ago, the NBA player revealed that he would “maybe” reach out to his former in-laws for advice. “Maybe, there’s a time and place for everything,” he told In Touch exclusively at the DWTS cast reveal at Planet Hollywood in New York City on August 21. “So, why not now?”
The New York native found love with Khloé Kardashian in 2009, but it didn’t last since he cheated on her in the midst of dealing with his drug addiction issues. The Good American designer, 35, filed for divorce in December 2013, but after news broke that Lamar almost died from an overdose in October 2015, she withdrew the papers. The KUWTK starlet ultimately filed for divorce a second time in May 2016, and it was finalized on December 16.
Throughout his marriage, Lamar became very close with the Kardashian crew, and it seems like he has nothing but good things to say about his ex. When asked if he still keeps in touch with the Revenge Body host, Lamar said, “No. But she’s alright, she’ll be alright. The dad of two also called her a “great mother.”
Now, Lamar is doing better than ever since he made his debut on the ABC hit show. However, he didn’t receive the best scores from the judges, so he is determined to put his best foot forward … literally. “I thought we were going home because we had the lowest score,” he admitted. “But obviously, the fans want us back. I feel great about that. I just got to get these routines packed and work on my memory. Doing these routines are brain exercises for me. So, I just have to keep practicing, practicing — [it] will build my confidence.”
These days, Lamar is in a new relationship with his girlfriend, Sabrina Parr, and she is supporting her man’s new journey. “She’s great. She’s amazing,” he gushed. “She’s a beautiful piece of my life.” Despite the reality star’s past, he is grateful that he gets to partake in this show. “It’s definitely a workout on my legs,” he confessed. “My legs feel stronger, so I’ll probably be ready to play basketball again soon.”
You got this, Lamar!
