Calling out the fakery! Kylie Jenner never referred to herself as a “brown-skinned girl” in her Instagram caption, she revealed on Monday, August 17. The makeup mogul cleared the air and confirmed the image that went viral was edited.

“Here’s the fake version that everyone believed,” Kylie, 23, wrote next to side-by-side photos. “Saw online someone Photoshopped this photo I posted to change my caption from ‘brown-eyed girl’ to ‘brown-skinned girl.’ I never said this.”

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star went a step further by showing the real caption she previously posted, which was a white heart and sparkle emoji. Kylie explained she changed it to “brown-eyed girl” a few minutes later and “that is all.”

Amid the speculation about the post, several fans showed support to the mom of one and pointed out how haters are always looking for reasons to throw shade.

“I saw the photo as soon as it was posted and it said ‘brown-eyed.’ Why do people need to make drama out of everything and invent lies,” one of the messages she reposted read. “I mean if the same screenshot is used everywhere that means it’s edited, but if it was real, there would be many different screenshots from different phones and fonts,” another social media user chimed in.

Over the past few days, the E! alum has been sharing breathtaking photos while enjoying a tropical vacation with family. Kylie celebrated her birthday on August 10, and later showed off her bikini body. Prior to that, she dazzled in a bejeweled Balmain dress, gifted to her by the brand’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing

Travis Scott also showed love to Kylie by posting snaps of the TV personality with their daughter, Stormi Webster, to ring in the occasion. The “TKN” rapper captioned each picture with a series of cake emojis on August 11.

It appears Kylie and Travis are doing quite well again after the dynamic duo opted to “take a break” in October 2019. The pair “shared a hotel room” and “looked like a couple” on their weekend getaway from July 17-18, an eyewitness previously told In Touch. Since then, she has been living it up with her loved ones.

Even though haters came out of the woodwork over her recent caption, Kylie is not letting a little ~ kontroversy ~ mess up her vacay or content!
