Kim Kardashian Called Out for Allegedly Plagiarizing Emilio Pucci Sunglasses: ‘It’s Def Not Cool’
She just can’t catch a break! Kim Kardashian is under fire (yet again) for allegedly ripping off Emilio Pucci’s sunglasses design. According to Diet Prada, a pair of shades from Kim’s collection looks eerily similar to one she wore from the designer’s collection last year. Awk.
“Hey @kimkardashian, so it’s def not cool to use someone else’s name and likeness when promoting knockoffs, as evidenced by your win against @missguided, but should it be ok to use your OWN name and likeness to promote them?” the admin behind the account wrote. “Lol. Funny how those SS17 @emiliopucci shades you wore in August 2018 ended up in your eyewear collab with @carolinalemkeberlin that launched in April this year. Hypocrisy at its finest!”
Needless to say, it didn’t take long for commenters to go IN on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 38. “Reading ‘designs’ and ‘original ideas’ on the same tweet by her makes me crack … of laughter,” one person wrote, while another added, “Watch out! She is going to drag you into court now that she is becoming a lawyer.” A third, meanwhile, chimed in, “The tea is scalding!!!!!!! Scal DING.”
The mother of four was recently blasted for the name of her new shapewear line Kimono. “When I announced the name of my shapewear line, I did so with the best intentions in mind,” Kim wrote in a series of tweets. “My brands and products are built with inclusivity and diversity at their core and after careful thought and consideration, I will be launching my Solutionwear brand under a new name. I will be in touch soon. Thank you for your understanding and support always.”
