Kim Kardashian Drops a Marriage Bombshell on Kanye West’s Birthday
In honor of Kanye West's 41st birthday, Kim Kardashian shared a sweet new photo of her rapper husband holding their youngest daughter Chicago. However, not even Chi's adorable face could distract followers from the marriage bombshell she dropped in the caption. It shouldn't come as a huge surprise that Kim and Kanye might be having marital problems. On his new album YE, the hip-hop star revealed that Kim almost left him after his "slavery is a choice" comment. "Wife calling screaming saying we’re about to lose it all I had to calm her down ‘cos she couldn’t breathe / I told her she could leave me now but she wouldn’t leave," he rapped. "This is what they mean for better or for worse huh?"
However, despite those lyrics, publicly Kim, 37, has always defended her husband of four years. "Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that’s why I love him and respect him and in a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren’t labeled the way he is and you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time," she tweeted.
Earlier this month, In Touch reported that Kim was in talks with divorce lawyers due to Kanye's erratic behavior. "Kim is tired of covering for him and putting out fires that he keeps creating," an insider said at the time. "She can’t take it anymore." Luckily, the couple was able to work out their differences for the sake of their kids, North, 4, Saint, 2, and Chicago, five months.
"Thank you for always putting our family first and being the best dad to our babies," Kim gushed last Father's Day. "I couldn’t ask for a better husband and more perfect family. We love you so much!"
