Kayla Sessler Reveals She’s ‘in Shock’ Over Surprise Pregnancy on ‘Teen Mom’: ‘I Can’t Believe It’

Viewers were first introduced to Kayla, 20, when she was expecting her first child — a son named Izaiah — with her former flame, Stephan Alexander. She has since moved on and found love with her current boyfriend, Luke.

On the Tuesday episode of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, fans got to see the couple’s reaction after discovering they were expecting their first child together. 

Surprise!

“I told Luke I took a pregnancy test, and we are still in shock that it’s positive,” Kayla said, noting how she “couldn’t believe” that she was going to have another bundle of joy. 

Bigger Brood

The reality star said that she went to share the news with her boyfriend right away. “I wasn’t scared to tell Luke, but it was still an awkward thing, our relationship is still pretty new,” Kayla confessed.

It’s a Process

“I’m pretty scared, I don’t know what’s going to happen,” she continued. “Me and Luke haven’t talked about our plans yet, it’s just too soon right now, we still have to just digest and be real.”

Taking Precautions

It came as even more of a surprise to Kayla because she was on birth control at the time. The MTV alum decided to take a second pregnancy test and sure enough, it was positive.

Figuring It Out

“You know that week me, you and Izaiah were all sick and throwing up? I probably threw up my birth control and didn’t realize it,” she speculated.

Trusting Her Heart

The 20-year-old noted how the timing wasn’t “right,” but that didn’t change her mind about wanting to go through with her pregnancy. “I just know for me, I couldn’t get an abortion,” Kayla said.

Sharing Her Thoughts

“Stephan wanted me to do that with Izaiah, now he’s the best thing to ever happen to me so I feel like I couldn’t,” she added.

Welcome to Parenthood

So, how did Luke feel about it all? “It’s kind of hard for me to all process, me having, about to have my first child,” he said, while sharing his thoughts about becoming a father.

Reaction Revealed

Even so, Luke assured Kayla that he was going to be sticking by her side. “It’s all still new,” he continued.

Sticking Together

“None of my feelings changed, I still love you and I’m going to love this baby no matter what, I’m not going anywhere,” Luke concluded.

Preparing for the Future

Kayla’s beau made sure to comfort her by addressing how he would take care of her, Izaiah, and their newborn while making time for school and basketball.

“I feel like I just had Izaiah, I just went through all of that,” Kayla vented, while sharing her thoughts.

Fast forward to now, and Kayla is officially the proud mother of two. She welcomed her second child — a healthy baby girl named Ariah Jordynn — in August 2019.

Later that month, Luke shared a new photo of his precious daughter cozy at home. “Barley two weeks old and she tryin to hold her bottle,” he gushed. How time flies!
