There’s still some bad blood there. Jon Gosselin spoke exclusively with In Touch about the two kids he has custody of, Hannah and Collin, and what their relationship is like with their mom, Kate Gosselin. Jon, 42, was asked whether the kids would see her over the holidays — or if they see her often at all — and replied, “Probably not. Right now it’s very volatile.”

“We’re going back to court real soon but it’s just for ancillary things,” Jon continued when he spoke with In Touch on October 25. “I always say that like every interview, ‘Oh, we’re going back to court.’ It’s been 11 years.”

When it comes to the ongoing tensions between Jon and his 44-year-old ex-wife, the former Jon and Kate Plus 8 star continued, “You’d think it would end one day but it doesn’t, it’s just over and over again.”

In 2018, Jon gained custody of Hannah and she lives permanently with him. Plus, during a court hearing back in December 2018, he was given temporary custody of Collin, 15, who was previously placed in a treatment center for kids with special needs by his mother.

As for the other kids he shares with Kate — 18-year-old twin daughters Cara and Mady and 15-year-olds Leah, Aaden, Alexis and Joel — Jon revealed to In Touch that either parent getting to see them is really up to the kids. “So if Hannah wants to go, she goes,” he explained. “If Leah is on Kate’s side, supposedly, if she wants to come, she comes.”

He confessed he hasn’t really seen his other kids and added, “It’s supposed to be up to them. If Hannah really wants to go, I just drop her off or Kate comes to pick her up or whatever. There’s no … I can’t control that. And that’s the way it should be.”

Jon also admitted he doesn’t really talk to his older, twin daughters. “I text them on their birthday but it’s kind of like I have hoped that they’ll talk to me again or whatever,” he revealed. “Maybe I shouldn’t say anything or post anything anymore. Let them live their lives. I know they’re happy.” That’s what’s really important, after all. But we can’t help but hope that tensions die down between the whole Gosselin clan eventually.
