She may have called out ex Chris Lopez in the past, but now Kailyn Lowry is standing up for him and her other sons’ dads. The Teen Mom 2 star clapped back at a comment taking aim at her exes after she shared a family photo taken by Britney Toy Photography that featured all four of her boys.

“Poor babies,” one Instagram user wrote. “Four men, but not one father. #birthcontrol.” Before Kail, 28, could get a word in, another fan came to her defense. “What? First, it’s three men. Second, their dads are in their lives and are fathers. Make it make sense.” The MTV mama agreed, writing, “Right! Just because I’m not with their dads doesn’t mean they’re not present. People are weird.”

In the past, Kail has had drama with her exes — but she seems ready to put that all behind her lately, even when it comes to Chris, 26. After previously telling fans he wouldn’t be invited to baby No. 4’s birth or have a say in Creed’s name, she ended up involving him in both. On the August 13 episode of her podcast, “Coffee Convos,” the mom of four opened up about changing her mind.

“My relationship — or I don’t want to call it a relationship. … My entanglement with Chris is so complicated, and it’s so public and, partially, that’s our fault because we do it to ourselves. I just, I wanna do the right thing, even when I’m upset,” she explained. “I know that there have been periods of time where I felt like he doesn’t deserve to have his last name passed down. … I get so angry and I say a lot of things — that are true. Don’t get me wrong, they’re true. But then I still turn around and try to make other people happy and try to not argue.”

Ultimately, she knows nothing she does will “change someone else’s behavior,” but she wanted to do what she could to make it as easy for Chris to bond with his sons as possible. In the past, she’s complained about how he hasn’t always been there for their first son, Lux. In July, she even said she has Lux “99.9% of the time,” even when her older sons are with their dads. Chris has posted about stepping up to the plate in the past — and it sounds like he may be trying to put in the time once more.
