It’s taken literal years to get to this point, but it seems Teen Mom 2 costars Kailyn Lowry and Vee Torres are finally getting close. After on-camera confrontations that seemed to explode any time they were in a room together, Kail and her ex’s new wife have made peace — and they’re finally legit friends. While filming the MTV reunion over the weekend (the one the mom-of-three almost didn’t make it to), the two even snuggled up close to snap a selfie together, and it’s too sweet. Over the weekend, Kail visited the reunion set.

Originally, she had said she wouldn’t be going. “A little birdie told me Briana isn’t going to the reunion. Which is funny cause I’m not either. Let’s see how this goes,” she tweeted on March 30.

But she only had one goal in mind.

In addition to telling a fan that MTV convinced her to make the trip, she also admitted there was another reason she agreed to film. “I came here to give the audience Pothead,” she told In Touch exclusively.

It’s all about the self-promo.

She made sure to highlight the hair care line on her Instagram Story and in her posts to the photo sharing website as well as on Twitter, revealing that she gave all products to all 100 audience members there during her segment.

As for the rest of the reunion …

Well, let’s just say the 27-year-old didn’t have the best time. When a fan was bummed that Kail was only there for one day of filming, she responded, “Lmao, I was emotional yesterday, so it’s probably best!”

It turns out she had a rough time.

“I cried during [the] segment over the weekend because they completely cut my kids out,” she admitted online. “[MTV] told me they didn’t have footage of my kids for it,” she said — and it was clear she was still upset by that.

Even days later, she was still bothered.

“Wonder what’s on Teen Mom tonight,” she tweeted on Monday, April 8. “Maybe they’ll cut my kids out of this episode, too.” It was clear the star wasn’t ready to move on just yet.

But there was one bright spot at the reunion.

In addition to getting to hang out with her MTV best friend, Leah Messer, she also reunited with another important woman in her life. During her segment, she also filmed with ex Jo Rivera and his wife, Vee.

Kail and her ex have a complicated past.

But it’s clear everyone was pretty glad to see each other. And, after years of tension, Kail and Vee seemed particularly tight. They even snapped a selfie together while they were on stage for the segment.

How cute is this?

“Baby mamas,” the 27-year-old captioned the pic, and her fans were quick to share their love. “This picture is awesome! Isaac will learn one day how amazing this really is, 💞” wrote one fan. “Co-parenting goals 🙌🏼,” added another.

Kail had some love to share herself.

When one fan chimed in to add that “Vee is so hot,” the mom-of-three couldn’t help but agree. “I concur,” she responded, even tagging Vee in the post to make sure her pal was properly appreciated. Vee shared some love right back, liking the tweet.

These three have had a bumpy road.

It’s taken them a long time to get to a point where they have such a healthy relationship — and recently they hit another speed bump. In February, they had a dispute about child support that went to court.

Jo was asking for more money.

In financial claims that his ex called “completely ridiculous,” the 27-year-old dad requested over a thousand dollars a month. “Never once did he mention to me that he was in any type of situation where he needed financial support or that he was even considering filing for child support,” Kail said in the show.

All is well.

Before the month was over, Kail revealed to In Touch that she and Jo were in a “good place” when it came to their relationship and custody and support agreements. As for who deserves the credit, Kail says it’s all Vee.

“Truthfully, I credit Vee for that,” Kail said.

“If it wasn’t for her things would be a lot different. … I can’t speak for her but I know she saw both sides and ultimately wanted what’s best for Isaac and for all of our relationships, really.”

The two mamas have come so far.

“Teen Mom 2 is all new tonight and you don’t want to miss this one!!” Kail tweeted in 2014. “See what happens when Vee and I are in the same room together!” Now, they’re not just in the same room together, they’re in photos.

And there’s lots of love to go around.

“We’ve come a long way since we were 18,” she revealed in September 2018 at the time of the couple’s wedding. “I couldn’t ask for a better stepmom for Isaac. Literally cried tears of happiness for them last night. That’s fam.”
