Proud papa alert. Randy Houska addressed how the Twitterverse often calls out his daughter, Chelsea Houska, for re-hashing the “same storyline” on Teen Mom 2. The MTV star defended Chelsea in a heartfelt social media post and said that she will be opening up about her personal hardships in upcoming episodes, in hopes that sharing her experiences will help others stay strong while going through tough times. A fan expressed their frustration with Chelsea’s storyline back in March, and the reality star responded, letting them know she wholeheartedly agreed.

“Getting a little bored with [Chelsea] scenes. Plus, the fact that all they consist of are grilling Aubree about ‘everything’ [Adam Lind] related,” the fan wrote. “Come on, give the little girl a break already!”

Clearing the Air

“Trust me, I’m bored with it too,” the mother-of-three, 27, wrote in response. “They take every single mention of him over an 8 month period and then combine it to show it every week.”

Sharing His Thoughts

Chelsea’s dad, Randy, has now taken to Twitter to address her storyline and he confirmed that she will continue to be real about what’s going on in her life in future episodes.

Responding to the Criticism

“The Twitterverse often rags on @ChelseaHouska about re-hashing the same storyline,” Randy tweeted, coming to her defense.

The reality star dad added, “In upcoming episodes, she shares experiences that are hard to put out there, but hopefully will create an awareness @mtv #teenmom2 @TeenMom.”

Several fans were showing support to Randy and Chelsea in the comments. “I wish @MTVShows would just give @ChelseaHouska her own show,” one chimed in. “She by far the most stable mom and truly gives inspiration to other teen moms!”

Tough Times

On this season of the show, Chelsea’s had to come to terms with her ex Adam, and his lack of involvement in Aubree’s life. On recent episodes, Adam didn’t show up for one of his supervised visits.

Chelsea and her husband, Cole DeBoer, have discussed the idea of Cole adopting Aubree, but both said they didn’t want to pressure her into making a decision.

“She’s already got your name,” Randy noted, while sharing his thoughts on the matter. “Just go with the flow and just do what you’re doing. You can’t push it because if you force it she might resent [you].”

A New Addition

Viewers have also been able to experience the exciting moments in Chelsea’s life this season, like the birth of her and Cole’s daughter, Layne, which happened to fall on her birthday, August 29.

“Happy birthday to my sweet perfect wife Chelsea DeBoer @chelseahouska who just gave our family this beautiful blessing,” Cole wrote while announcing the news at the time. “Sharing the same amazing day I am so in love with our family!”
