The Duggars are known for moving fast when it comes to getting pregnant and popping out kids, but Joy-Anna Duggar is taking things slow. After her tragic miscarriage, the Counting On star revealed that she’s planning to wait a while before attempting to get pregnant again. Though she wants more children down the road, she’s in no rush to start now. While chatting with Us Weekly, she revealed she’s planning on giving herself a break first.

“We want to be wise and give my body time to heal,” Joy, 22, admitted. “But we are excited for the children that God’s going to give us and can’t wait. I don’t know if four is the number,” she added, revealing that she and Austin Forsyth are still planning to growing their family one day. “I mean, I would be fine with a few more if that’s what God wants us to have.”

When the couple announced that they were expecting baby No. 2 back in May, they shared that they were excited to give their son, Gideon, a little brother or sister. “Our favorite math is addition and we are very excited to share that the Forsyth family is adding a member!” they said. “Table for four sounds perfect!” Now, it sounds like they might be dreaming even bigger — that is, when they get around to it.

In the meantime, the mom is making sure she gets the space to recover that she needs, and she’s also honoring her daughter in her own way. Part of that includes wearing a necklace that says Annabell Elise, the name she and her husband picked out for their little girl. The jewelry was a gift from Austin’s sister, Meagan Ballinger, and it’s beautiful. “It means so much to have such caring family around me,” the Duggar daughter wrote after receiving the present. “I love you!”

Joy’s also been leaning on Austin to help her cope. In July, she called him her “anchor” after they headed out for a date night just the two of them. “Our hearts are healing,” the star admitted later that month. “Yes, those days come that I miss my little girl so much. Wishing I could have met her, seen Austin love on her and Gideon play with her.” Some days are harder than others, but overall, it seems like Joy’s “men” are getting her through it.
