So sweet. Joy-Anna Duggar posted a photo of a lovely necklace her sister-in-law, Meagan Ballinger, gave her to remember the daughter she lost when she experienced a miscarriage over the summer. “💝 Thank you @meagalina for this thoughtful gift!” she captioned the picture of a delicate charm that read “Annabell Elise” on a gold chain. “It means so much to have such caring family around me! I love you!💖 #mysisterinlawislikemysister #AnnabellEliseForsyth.” Annabell was the name she and her husband, Austin Forsyth, chose for what would have been their second child.

Some of Joy’s other family members commented on the post showcasing the beautiful present. “Such a precious gift,” Anna Duggar replied. “Looking forward to meeting Annabell in Heaven one day! 💞.” Either Josiah Duggar or Lauren Swanson commented from their shared account, “Precious ❤️.”

Joy, 21, and Austin, 25, revealed on July 3 that they had suffered a miscarriage. “Today marks one week since we heard these words … ‘So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement,'” the couple began a heartbreaking caption sharing the news. “We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl. Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord.” Joy’s family and friends made sure to support her during that difficult time, and her best friend, Carlin Bates, even traveled to be there with her when she delivered her baby girl.

On July 26, Joy updated her fans on how she was feeling after the devastating loss. “Our hearts are healing,” she wrote. “Yes, those days come that I miss my little girl so much. Wishing I could have met her, seen Austin love on her and Gideon play with her. 💝 Yet, God has given us so much comfort. People say that I am strong, but I am not. It is Jesus’ strength that has carried me through. He’s given me a peace that passes all understanding and he has given me His JOY.🙏🏼💕” Having that faith and having people helping her through the loss hopefully continues to bring the Counting On star peace.
