Ah, to be in love! Josiah Duggar decided to surprise his pregnant wife, Lauren Duggar (née Swanson), with a romantic date day and he pulled out the stops for the special occasion. The Counting On star had several fun-filled activities planned, including a relaxing picnic together.

The couple documented their idyllic afternoon together via Instagram Stories. To start off the day, Josiah, 22, took Lauren, 20, to a location with sentimental value to enjoy their lunch. He spread a blanket out on the grass and had sandwiches, salad, and watermelon prepped. Josiah explained that he had many cherished memories with his loved ones at their picnic spot. He also mentioned how they were sitting near the tree that he fell out of when he was a kid and broke his arm.

Afterwards, they ventured over to a blueberry and strawberry farm where Lauren was seen showing off her growing baby bump in a peach colored top paired with a black skirt. To conclude their outing together, Josiah treated Lauren to a drive-in movie. She later posted how thankful she was for all of his super sweet gestures. “We had such a fun and special #dateday! Honey, you’re so thoughtful — best part was being with you,” Lauren wrote from their shared Instagram page.

Josiah and Lauren revealed the exhilarating news about their rainbow baby in a heartwarming post shared via Instagram on May 20. “We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the the way!!!! It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift,” the couple wrote. Josiah and Lauren added, “So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven.”

The happy couple later revealed how they found out she was expecting baby No. 2 in a video update. Josiah had a gut feeling that Lauren was pregnant, so he decided to go pick up a test early in the morning one day and sure enough, he was right! Lauren sweetly added, “We we’re both overjoyed and just crying because we’re just so thankful for another sweet blessing.”
