Someone else isn’t buying it! Jonathan Cheban thinks Wendy Williams is on to something with her theory about Christie Brinkley’s Dancing With the Stars injury. The TV personally, 45, said on his podcast “Foodgod: OMFG” that the 65-year-old’s hurt arm looked fine to him during a taping of the show.

“Christie Brinkley got out of the car in front of us, she’s stunning. There was no cast,” he observed. “I think Wendy Williams was right. I mean, Christie’s beautiful like a flower, but it could have been fake. I don’t know. How do you break your arm and not have a cast the next day at all?”

Hours before the season 28 premiere of DWTS, ABC announced that Christie had to drop out of the competition after she “suffered injuries which required surgery to her wrist and arm.” In her absence, her up-and-coming daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook stepped up to fill in for her mother.

“Well, that looked fake as hell! OK?” Wendy, 55, said after viewing footage of Christie’s accident. She took to Hot Topics to share what she thinks really went down. “Here’s my thought, OK? Dancing With the Stars called Christie Brinkley and said, ‘Do you want to [do] Dancing With the Stars?’ And so she said, ‘Yes.’ So after she got off the phone, that’s when she plotted her schedule,” Wendy theorized. “… In my opinion, I think what Christie did, was she signed up for Dancing With the Stars knowing that she’d put her daughter Sailor in there.”

Christie has denied the allegations and close friend and fellow competitor Karamo Brown even came to her defense. “I just think that we’re in a space where like, people need to like, not think that there’s always something devious,” he told In Touch exclusively. “You know, her daughter never wanted to be in TV, never was on TV,” the 38-year-old continued. “So it wasn’t something like ‘let’s do a scandal.’ It was really someone who just fell, and I think that’s why I got emotional because I had met her before and I knew how much she wanted this. And so it sucks that people, you know, think that there’s some hidden conspiracy but she really hurt herself.” Looks like we can add Jonathan to the list of skeptics in the case of Wendy vs. Christie.
