Just a few weeks after moving to Los Angeles, California, Jinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, have experienced their first earthquake! We say experience and not felt because, well, they didn’t actually feel it at all. In an Instagram Live video from Thursday, July 4, Jeremy revealed that he, his wife and their daughter Felicity were out jogging when the quake hit, and they didn’t even realize anything had happened until a neighbor told them the news. When they got back to their new home, though, they realized that they didn’t escape totally unscathed.

Though none of the family members were harmed, the same couldn’t be said for a fig tree they had in their backyard. After showing it off on his Live, the Counting On star also shared a photo of it on his Story. “The fig tree was no match for the earthquake,” he wrote with a shocked emoji. Though it wasn’t clear if the tree was potted or growing from the ground, it’s still pretty crazy to see it toppled over like that.

The Counting On couple didn’t let the quake get in the way of their 4th of July plans, though. Once the shaking had stopped, the former soccer star and his wife took little Lissy out to her very first MLS (Major League Soccer) game. The family snapped photos for Instagram as the tiny tot donned a “Vuolo” jersey to watch the L.A. Galaxy battle it out against the Toronto Football Club. “Maybe one day she will follow in her daddy’s footsteps,” Jinger wrote on Instagram with a photo of her husband and daughter looking out over the field.

Then again, maybe not. As it turns out, Lissy may not have been that into watching the soccer match. On her Instagram Story, Jinger revealed, “Felicity spent most of her time waving at the people behind us.” How cute is that? Whether the little girl grows up wanting to be a pro athlete or something else entirely, we hope her parents encourage her to follow her dreams no matter what. After all, it was once Jinger’s dream to live in a big city — and now that’s she’s made it through her first earthquake, she’s officially an Angeleno.
