Did she strike out again? Jill Duggar treated fans to yet another recipe on her blog over the weekend, and this time she opted for some pumpkin oatmeal cookies. After taking one glance at the photos, some immediately starting roasting the former Counting On star for her presentation.

Jill, 27, described the end result as a “moist, light” cookie that won’t leave you too sugared up, so perhaps she achieved her goal. The recipe calls for 3/4-1 cup butter (softened), one cup of brown and white sugar, one egg, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, and more. This time, Jill surprisingly wasn’t getting grilled for her ingredients. “She can’t even make cookies look photogenic. Yikes, girl,” one wrote, while another suggested: “I also have a food blog and using fresh herbs even as a garnish can turn a dish from cat vomit into amazing.”

A few were on Jill’s side in this case however, giving her credit for at least whipping up something edible. “I can give her a pass on this one, cookies don’t need to be perfect. Sometimes they can look like a pile a s–t and still taste good,” a third added. Some also noted how Jill grew up with 18 other siblings and Jim Bob and Michelle could mostly afford what was on sale at Costco, so she likely didn’t have the best training in the kitchen. However, she’s not letting the backlash stop her from trying out new dishes and sharing them on her blog.

Jill is no stranger to criticism, especially when it comes to her recipes. From her black bean dish to her chicken spaghetti sauce, she’s endured her fair share of nay-sayers. This weekend, the reality star ignored the haters and surprised her followers with new updates on her family. Jill shared a video of 15-month-old son, Samuel, showing off his “new trick.” You’ve got to see it for yourself!
